The Global Korea Scholarship offers the following financial and academic benefits:
- Airfare: Return tickets to and from Korea.
- Settlement Allowance: 200,000 KRW upon arrival.
- Monthly Stipend:
- Degree Program: 900,000 KRW/month.
- Research Program: 1,500,000 KRW/month.
- Research Allowance:
- Liberal Arts & Social Sciences: 210,000 KRW/semester.
- Natural Sciences & Engineering: 240,000 KRW/semester.
- Language Training: Fully funded one-year Korean language program.
- Tuition Fees: Fully covered for degree programs.
- Medical Insurance: Comprehensive health coverage.
- Paper Printing Fees: 500,000–800,000 KRW.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, applicants must meet the following conditions:
General Requirements
- Proficiency in English or Korean.
- Citizens of all countries except South Korea are eligible.
- Mentally and physically healthy for prolonged study abroad.
- Minimum GPA of 80% in the last academic program attended.
Undergraduate Course
- Under 25 years of age (as of March 1 of the selection year).
- Completion of elementary, middle, and high school education.
Graduate Course
- Under 40 years of age (as of September 1 of the selection year).
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree by February 28 of the selection year.
- Professors from ODA recipient countries under 45 years of age may also apply.
How to Apply for the Global Korea Scholarship?
Applicants can apply through one of two tracks:
- Embassy Track: Submit original or attested documents to the Korean Embassy in your country. Applicants may apply to up to three universities.
- University Track: Submit all documents directly to a domestic Korean university. Applicants can apply to only one university.
Important Notes:
- Passing the second round of the Embassy Track does not guarantee final selection.
- Ensure all required documents are complete and submitted within the deadlines.
