Applying for a new meter connection under Gujranwala Electric Power Company ( GEPCO) is an easy and straightforward process. By following the below steps, an individual can apply for a new meter connection. Before applying, the consumer must be assured of the type of connection he requires based on his/her load requirements. There are three categories of meter connections.
- Category 01: 1KW to 15 KW( commonly for Residential Use)
- Category 02: 16 KW to 70 KW ( Commercial Use)
- Category 03: 70 KW to 500 KW( Industrial Use)
New Connection Application Procedure
- Applicant should visit the online portal www.enc.com.pk
- Click on the Apply button
- A new Connection Application Form will open. Fill out all fields carefully with accurate information.
- Print the application form and submit it at the nearby GEPCO office
- Print the demand notice and pay as prescribed in the notice
- Upload the paid DN for evidence
Applicants can apply through the local GEPCO Office also. Visit the nearest office apply, pay the fee, and wait for the next process. After application approval, a GEPCO representative will visit your location to make sure connection installation is possible.
Required Documents for New Connection
The following documents are required to apply for a new connection.
- Application Form ( dully filled)
- Copy of CNIC ( Applicant)
- Proof of ownership/tenancy ( Registry, rent agreement)
- Attested copy of the latest paid bill of the nearest neighbor ( if applicable)
- NOC from the owner
- Test report from a licensed electrical contractor
How to Check GEPCO New Connection Application Status
You can check your new connection application status through the ENC portal. Follow the below steps to track the application status.
- Visit the official Electricity New Connection ENC portal.
- Click on the Track box
- Select a new connection in the type
- Enter the service provider name like “GEPCO”.
- Enter your CNIC or tracking ID number
- Click on the submit button
- Your application’s current status will appear with full details.
GEPCO Demand Notice Fee 2024
After application approval, an official document called a “Demand Notice ( DN) is issued in your name from GEPCO. This document contains your name, address, type of connection and customer ID details. You need to pay the fee for this demand notice for meter installation. Without a demand notice fee, GEPCO not proceed with the meter connection. The GEPCO demand notice fee details are given below.
GEPCO New Meter Charges demand notice fee of the Singal Phase meter demand notice capital fee is 8,500 rupees. After adding the security fee, the Singal Phase GEPCO New Meter Charges demand notice fee will cost you around 10,000 rupees. For the Demand Notice Fee 2024, the three-phase meter demand notice capital fee is 33,000, and after adding the security fee, it will cost you 43,000 rupees.
